QSE grows 96 pts at Wednesday's close

Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange’s (QSE) general index rose 95.6 points, or 0.96%, to close at 10,077.82 points on Wednesday.

The real estate sector topped gainers after soaring 2.41%, while the insurance sector headed decliners and slid 0.66%.

Qatar Oman Investment headed risers with 5.26%, whereas National Leasing Holding led fallers after retreating 2.5%.

The QSE’s liquidity climbed 46% to QAR 384.22 million on Wednesday, from QAR 263.32 million in the previous session, while trading volume surged to 8.88 million shares, against 8.87 million on Tuesday.

The heavyweight Qatar National Bank’s (QNB) stock, which added 0.94%, led the QSE in terms of turnover with QAR 141.31 million, while United Development’s stock, down 0.07%, registered the highest trading volume of 1.55 million shares.
