Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange’s (QSE) general index grew 46.29 points, or 0.46%, to close at 10,201.18 points on Tuesday.
The QSE’s liquidity retreated to QAR 264.97 billion on Tuesday from QAR 290.56 billion in the previous session, while trading volume declined to 10.69 million shares, compared to 14.27 million on Monday.
The insurance sector topped gainers with 4.19% after Qatar Insurance rose 4.81%, while Al Khaleej Takaful Insurance retreated 3.40%.
Meanwhile, the banking sector inched up 0.09%, supported by the 1.63% increase in Qatar Islamic Bank.
On the other hand, the real estate sector led fallers with 1.59% as Ezdan Holding dropped 3.02%.
United Development’s stock, which added 0.28%, registered the highest trading volume with 1.73 million shares, while Qatar Fuel’s (Woqod) stock, down 0.49%, spearheaded the QSE in terms of turnover of QAR 4.23 million.
