Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) ended Wednesday’s trades in the green, as the general index rose 0.62% or 47.8 points to 7,782.18 points.
By the end of the trades, all sectors soared topped by the transportation sector which surged 2.05%, pushed by Qatar Navigation’s 4.9% rise.
Similarly, the real estate sector went up 1%. Ezadan Holding Group and Barwa Real Estate added 1.58% and 0.54%, respectively.
Islamic Holding Group’s stock topped the market’s gainers surging 10%, while Al Khaleej Takaful Group led the decliners after dipping 3.25%.
On Wednesday, liquidity increased 36.5% to QAR 246.42 million from QAR 180.47 million on Tuesday, while trading volume jumped 93.5% to 11.82 million shares against 6.11 million shares in the previous session.
Qatar National Bank (QNB) topped the QSE in terms of liquidity with QAR 73.67 million, while Investment Holding Group led the market in terms of trading volume of 3.85 million shares, rising 4.65 %.
