QSE hikes 46 pts at Monday’s close

Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) finished Monday’s trading session in the green after its benchmark soared 45.95 points, or 0.44%, to 10,401.40 points.

The QSE’s turnover fell to QAR 202.87 million, from QAR 217.94 million, while trading volume stood at 9.73 million shares, up from 8.84 million on Sunday.

The banks and financial services sector topped the risers after increasing by 1.15% as the heavyweight Qatar National Bank’s (QNB) stock added 2.19%.

On the flipside, the consumer goods and services sector led the fallers with 0.80% as Zad Holding’s stock tumbled 6.47%.

Qatar First Bank’s (QFB) stock, which inched up 0.93%, led the bourse in terms of trading volume with 2.02 million shares, while QNB’s stock generated the highest liquidity with QAR 46.95 million.
