Doha – Mubasher: The benchmark index of the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) ended Thursday’s session rising by 0.65% or 64.66 points to the level of 10,053.95 points.
Trading volume increased to 11.1 million shares from 6.41 million shares exchanged on Wednesday, turnover also rose to QAR 378.87 million from QAR 197.41 million.
The telecom sector grew 2.4%, backed by an increase of 3% in Ooredoo; the industrial sector advanced 1% as Industries Qatar leapt 2.1%.
The real estate and banking sectors also rose by 0.41% and 0.20% respectively.
Qatar General Insurance led the trading activity as 2.1 million shares were exchanged at QAR 99.7 million.
Islamic Holding topped gainers by adding 9.9%, while Qatar General Insurance headed decliners with a 3% fall.
