Mubasher: The benchmark index of Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) closed Thursday’s trading session 0.98% or 85.24 points higher at 8,792.91 points.
QSE’s liquidity increased to QAR 287.55 million on Thursday compared to QAR 204.05 million in the previous session after the trading volume grew to 11.42 million shares from 11.92 million in the past session.
The leading stock Qatar National Bank (QNB) added 2.60%, while Masraf Al Rayan gained 2.19%.
QSE’s banks segment topped the gainers with 2.01% in line with the 3.86% rise of the Commercial Bank of Qatar.
Meanwhile, the transportation segment was the only decliner with 0.33%, dragged by Qatar Navigation with a fall of 1.70%.
Qatar General Insurance topped the winners with 4.42%, while Doha Insurance headed the losers with 3.64%.
Vodafone Qatar was the most active stock on which 3.4 million shares were exchanged, the stock rose by 1.20%.
Industries Qatar posted the highest liquidity of QAR 61.2 million.
