QSE in red at Wednesday’s close

Mubasher: The benchmark index of Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) closed Wednesday’s session 1.33% or 123.62 points lower at 9,207.62 points.

QSE’s market cap declined by 1.5% or QAR 7.6 million to QAR 501.8 billion from QAR 509.4 billion in the previous session.

The trading value increased to QAR 267.73 million on Wednesday compared to QAR 229.95 million in the past session after the trading volume increased to 9.47 million shares from 8.76 million.

QSE-listed banks levelled down by 1.57%, dragged by Islamic Holding Group which lost 3.19%.

Qatar First Bank was the most active stock on which 2.6 million shares were traded.

Qatar National Bank (QNB) posted the highest liquidity of QAR 33.9 million.
