QSE inches down at Tuesday’s open

Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) started Tuesday’s trading session in the red after its main index fell 4.67 points, or 0.05%, to 10,113.43 points.

By 9:50 am Qatar time, the QSE’s trading volume reached 1.14 million shares exchanged through 651 transactions at a turnover of QAR 17.02 million.

The banks and financial services sector led losers with 0.14% as Qatar International Islamic Bank’s (QIIB) stock decreased 1.27%, while the real estate sector lost 0.08% after Mazaya Real Estate Development Company’s stock dropped 0.85%.

On the other hand, the consumer goods and services sector topped risers with 0.66% as Salam International Investment Limited’s (SIIS) stock grew 4.44%, and Qatar Fuel’s (Woqod) stock gained 1.05%.

Mesaieed Petrochemical Holding’s stock, which added 0.39% to QAR 18.10, topped the bourse in terms of volume and value after 361,190 shares were exchanged with a turnover of QAR 6.53 million.
