Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) started Tuesday’s trading session down, dragged by the drop of three sectors.
By 09:50 am Qatar time, the general index inched down 8.1 points, or 0.09%, to 9,109.25 points.
The bourse's turnover amounted to QAR 46.32 million after 1.6 million shares were traded through 625 transactions.
The real estate sector topped the QSE’s losers falling 1.04%, followed by the industrial and banking sectors with 0.9% and 0.46%, respectively.
On the positive side, the insurance sector headed the bourse’s risers adding 3.7%, followed by the telecommunication and goods sectors, which rose 2.3% and 0.43%, respectively.
Qatar Insurance’s stock led the QSE in terms of liquidity with QAR 18.5 million, while Vodafone Qatar’s stock spearheaded the market in terms of trading volume with 564,420 shares.
