QSE inches up Monday on Qatar's participation in Gulf Summit

Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) ended Monday’s trading session in the green for the second consecutive session after announcing that Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani will participate in the Gulf Summit in Kuwait, on 4 December.

The general index jumped 2.24% or 173.83 points to 7,930.38 points.

The bourse’s sectors grew, topped by the real estate sector which added 6.80%, encouraged by Ezdan Holding Group’s 10%, surge.

The industrial sector rose 2.43% after the Gulf International Service’s stock soared 9.71%.

Similarly, the banking sector levelled up 2.28%, pushed by Qatar National Bank’s (QNB) 8.91% hike.

On Monday, liquidity increased to QAR 335.54 million from QAR 122.85 million on Sunday, while trading volume went up to 18.72 million shares against 8.09 million shares in the previous session.

Dlala Brokerage and Investment Holding’s stock topped the QSE in terms of trading volume with 3.7 million shares, while QNB spearheaded the market in terms of liquidity with QAR 46.2 million.
