QSE inches up early Wednesday

Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) started Wednesday’s trading in green territory, helped by a massive growth of all sectors.

By 10:00 am Qatar time, the general index inched up 0.09% to 9,404.42 points, adding 8.61 points.

the bourse's turnover amounted to QAR 6.9 million after 270,500 shares exchanged through 268 transactions.

The telecommunication sector topped the QSE’s risers adding 0.79% as Ooredoo and Vodafone Qatar grew 0.88% and 0.54%, respectively.

Similarly, the goods and services levelled up 0.33%, boosted by Widam Food Company’s 0.79% increase, while the banking sector inched up 0.06% after Qatar Oman Investment went up 1.11%.

Ooredoo’s stock led the QSE in terms of liquidity with QAR 1.9 million, while Vodafone Qatar’s stock spearheaded the market in terms of trading volume with 82,000 shares.
