QSE jumps 1.2% at Monday close

Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) closed Sunday's trading session in the green, encouraged by the growth of all sectors.

The bourse saw gains totaled QAR 5.8 billion.

The general index added 1.22%, or 95.36 points, to 7,923.07 points.

By the end of Monday’s session, market capitalisation increased 1.4% to QAR 434.5 billion, compared to QAR 428.7 billion on Sunday.

Liquidity hiked to QAR 172.14 million from QAR 180.01 million in the previous session, while the trading volume levelled up to 6.81 million shares versus 5.89 million shares on 10 November.

The real estate sector topped the QSE gaining 2.82%, led by Ezadan Holding Group’s stock’s 4.21% surge.

Similarly, the backing sector rose 1.65%, spearheaded by Qatar International Islamic Bank which added 3%.

The industrial sector jumped 0.76% after Investment Holding Group’s stock edged up 3.02%.

Mecdicare Group topped the gainers with 4.4%, while Qatar National Bank (QNB) led losers shedding 6.66%.

By the end of the trading session, Masraf Al Rayan headed the bourse in terms of trading volume and liquidity with 782,100 shares and QAR 27.1 million, respectively.
