QSE jumps 304 pts in week

Doha – Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange’s (QSE) main index ended a three-week losing streak after rising this week by 3.19% or 304.36 points to the level of 9,836.96 points.

Al Rayan Islamic Index and the All Share Index also leapt by 2.77% and 2.7% respectively.

Trading volume increased 13.41% to 29.86 million shares, turnover also rose by 4.54% to QAR 1.09 billion.

The real estate sector was the best performer after adding 5.26% as Ezdan Holding was the week’s top riser.

The telecom sector came second in the green list with a growth of 4.45%, backed by the rise in Vodafone Qatar which led the week’s largest-traded stock with a volume of 6.43 million shares.

The banking sector also advanced by 2.94% as QNB and QIB grew by 4.32% and 3.69%. the latter made the highest liquidity of QAR 237.42 million.

The market capitalisation rose 2.84% or QAR 14.7 billion to QAR 531.84 billion.
