Doha – Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange’s main index dropped in the first session of the week by 0.04% or 4.25 points to 10,855.93 points, as four sectors moved down.
In early session, trading volume stood at 623,300 shares exchanged through 318 trades, making a trading value of QAR 21.46 million.
The telecom sector plummeted by 1.16%, followed by goods sector (-1.08%), insurance (-0.97%) and industrial (-0.11%).
However, the banking sector increased by 0.23%, then real estate and transportation with a rise of 0.14% and 0.02%, respectively.
The morning bets included 27 shares traded; nine of them moved up, 15 decreased, while the three remaining were flat.
Qatar Oman Investment share showed the lowest trend with a 2.69% decrease, while Qatar International Islamic Bank share was the highest with a rise of 1.67%.
The QSE’s benchmark index closed Thursday with a surge of 0.30% or 32 points to the level of 10,860.18 points.
