Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) started Wednesday in the red, pressured by the fall of five sectors.
The general index declined 10.83 points, or 0.12%, to 9,003.49 points.
By 10:00 am Qatar time, the QSE’s trading volume hit 922,900 shares changed hands through 353 transactions, with a liquidity of QAR 17.6 million.
The real estate sector declined 1.25% after Ezdan Holding Group’s stock fell 1.82%, while the industrials sector shed 0.20% as Aamal Company’s stock decreased 1.80%.
On the flipside, the consumer goods and services sector inched up 0.37% after Qatar Fuel’s (Woqod) Stock rose 0.72%, while the banking and financial services segment increased 0.22% as Qatar National Bank’s (QNB) stock edged up 0.56%.
Vodafone Qatar’s stock, which remained stable at QAR 9.23, was the most active in terms of value and volume, generating a turnover of QAR 3.1 million after 331,900 shares were exchanged.
