QSE loses 113 pts at Tuesday’s close

Mubasher: The Qatar stock exchange (QSE) ended Tuesday in the red, pressured by the massive decline of sectors.

The general index declined 113.63 points, or 1.26%, to finish at 8,870.16 points.

By the end of the mid-week session, the bourse's liquidity decreased to QAR 191.44 million from QAR 212.26 million on Monday, while the trading volume went down to 9.19 million shares against 12.69 million in the previous session.

The banking sector topped the QSE’s decliners falling 1.50% as Qatar Oman Investment and Qatar National Bank (QNB) went down 4.32% and 2.52%, respectively.

Similarly, the industrial sector retreated 1.42% due to Qatari Investors Company’s 2.74% drop.

Meanwhile, the telecommunication sector topped the bourse’s gainers adding 2.01% as Ooredoo and Vodafone Qatar rose 2.51% and 1.30%, respectively.
