Doha – Mubasher: The main index of the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) closed Thursday’s session falling by 1.39% or 153.05 points to the level of 10,836.74 points.
Trading volume rose 7.3% to 10.8 million shares from 10.06 million shares exchanged on Wednesday, turnover also increased 3.4% to QAR 512.7 million from QAR 530.8 million.
The fall was due to the decline in blue chips as Al Khaliji, QNB, CBQ and Industries Qatar fell by 3%, 1.23%, 0.83% and 0.71% respectively.
The market’s sector retreated collectively, topped by the telecom sector, which dropped by 2% as Vodafone Qatar slid 2.8%.
The real estate sector decreased 1.7% and the transportation sector declined 1.5%.
