Doha-Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange’s (QSE) main index declined 0.26% or 25.52 points to reach 9,852.23 points in Thursday’s early trades.
Turnover reached QAR 18.92 million by 10:00am Qatar time after trading 582,290 shares through 261 transactions.
The insurance sector led losers after falling 1.78%, pressured by Qatar Insurance Company which was the worst performer with a 2.44% decline.
The real estate sector opened lower as Barwa Real Estate and Ezdan Holding Group retreated 0.76% and 0.5% respectively.
The transportation sector decreased 0.37%, followed by the consumer staples sector went down 0.27%.
The banks sector tailed the losers list after declining 0.06%, dragged down by the negative performance of Dlala Brokerage and Masraf Al Rayan. Qatar Oman Investment Company trimmed the sector’s losses after adding 1.9%.
On the other hand, the telecom and industrial sectors gained 0.76% and 0.16%, respectively.
