Mubasher: The main index of the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) fell at Thursday’s close by 0.23% or 24.70 points to the level of 10,629.13 points.
Trading volume decreased to 8.2 million shares from 11 million shares exchanged on Wednesday, turnover also shrank to QAR 260.2 million from QAR 361 million.
QIB, QNB and Ezdan Holding declined 1%, 0.68% and 0.66% respectively.
Three stocks closed in red topped by the real estate sector after falling 0.79%, due to a decrease of 1.74% in United Development.
The banking sector dropped 0.55%, as Islamic Holding, down 3.4%, was the top loser.
Meanwhile, four sectors closed in green topped by the insurance sector with a growth of 1%, as Islamic Insurance, up 5.5%, was the top gainer.
Vodafone Qatar made the biggest trading volume activity with 1.9 million shares, while Barwa made the highest turnover of QAR 32.02 million.
