Doha – Mubasher: The main index of the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) opened Sunday’s session falling by 0.4% or 41.48 points to the level of 10,348.48 points.
The fall was due to a decrease of 0.93% in Industries Qatar, 0.43% in Masraf Al Rayan and 0.58% in QIB. The three stocks forms about 25% of the index’s weight.
By 10:07am Doha time, trading volume reached 261,740 shares exchanged at QAR 9.57 million through 282 transactions.
The industrial and transportation sectors fell by 1.03% for each, the banks and consumer goods sectors declined by 0.28% for each and the telecom sector shrank 0.08%.
On the other hand, the real estate and insurance sectors rose by 0.16% and 0.05% respectively.
Al Khaleej Takaful topped gainers by adding 2.68%.
