Doha – Mubasher: The main index of Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) opened Wednesday’s trading falling 0.41% or 43.69 points to the level of 10,494.06 points.
Trading volume reached 588,200 shares exchanged at QAR 37.27 million through 619 transactions, by 10:16 AM Doha time.
The index was affected by the fall in Ezdan Holding, Industries Qatar and Masraf Al Rayan by 0.66%, 0.19% and 0.14% respectively.
The insurance sector was the worst performer after dropping by 1.77%, pressured by a 2.23% decrease in Doha Insurance.
The transportation, consumer goods and real estate sectors also shrank by 1.42%, 0.58% and 0.43% respectively.
Mazaya Qatar led the green list with a growth of 1.36%, while Ahli Bank topped losers by falling 2.32%.
Ooredoo was the most active stock as it made a trading volume of 205,210 shares exchanged at QAR 19.36 million.
