Doha – Mubasher: The general index of the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) fell 0.43% or 44.98 points to reach 10,416.83 points at Wednesday’s closing session.
The telecom sector topped the losing sectors and went down 2.2%, after Ooredoo and Vodafone Qatar lost 2.51% and 1.04%, respectively.
The banks sector slid 0.40% due to a decrease in Dlala Brokerage by 3.3%, followed by Islamic Holding Group and Masraf Al Rayan which decreased 1.47% and 1.39%, respectively.
On the other hand, the consumer goods and real estate sectors added 0.45% and 0.08%, respectively.
Turnover declined to QAR 289.37 million, compared to QAR 391.22 million on Tuesday. Trading volume also shrank to 11.55 million shares, compared to 15.7 million shares yesterday.
Vodafone Qatar was the most active in terms of traded volume and values through exchanging 4.37 million shares at a value of QAR 41.77 million.
