Doha – Mubasher: The main index of the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) fell at Wednesday’s open by 0.65% or 67.38 points to the level of 10,330.20 points.
The index was dragged by the fall in QNB, Ezdan Holding and Ooredoo by 1.13%, 1.18% and 0.50% respectively.
By 10:25am Doha time, trading volume reached 1.19 million shares exchanged at QAR 26.71 million.
The market’s sectors retreated collectively, topped by the real estate sector after falling by 0.99%, followed by the banking and transportation sectors with a decrease of 0.76% and 0.74% respectively.
Five stocks opened trading in green topped by Qatar Electricity and Water with a rise of 0.43%, while 30 stocks came on the red list, headed by Doha Insurance after dropping 2.67%.
Gulf International made the highest turnover of QAR 6 million, while Vodafone Qatar was the largest-traded stock with a volume of 411,800 shares.
