Doha – Mubasher: The benchmark index of Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) ended Thursday’s session in the green zone on the back of six sectors.
The index gained 1.21% or 100.71 points to reach 10,436.76 points.
The banks segment gained 1.21% on the back of eight shares, as the Commercial Bank and Qatar National Bank rose by 7.62% and 1.12% respectively.
QSE’s industrial segment levelled up by 0.92% on the back of Qatar Electricity and Water Co which rose by 2.25%.
Meanwhile, the transportation segment was the only decliner which lost 0.14%, dragged by Qatar Navigation which edged down 1.34%.
Liquidity increased to QAR 293.32 million, as trading volume grew to 13.22 million shares.
Qatar for Cinema was the top winner by a rise of 9.84%, while Qatar Oman Investment led the losers by 1.49%.
Qatar First Bank recorded the highest liquidity of QAR 46.73 million, after 4.5 million shares were exchanged, with the stock rising 2.49%.
