QSE main index gains 40.06 points in early trading

Doha – Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange’s (QSE) main index rose 0.41% or 40.06 points to the level of 9,782.84 points in early trading on Tuesday.

Trading volume hit 2.47 million shares worth QAR 83.1 million through 823 transactions.

Telecom was the strongest sector in the green zone as it gained 0.67%. Coming in second, the industrial index moved 0.85% up, followed by the banking, insurance and transportation sectors at 0.53%, 0.34% and 0.21% respectively.

However, the real estate sector dropped 0.30%, followed by the goods and services sector with 0.13%.

At morning, trading saw 27 active shares, marking 18 winners, eight losers and one flat.

Qatar Navigation was the best performer after rising 2.43%, while Gulf Warehousing was the weakest with a 7.54 decrease.

The QSE’s main index closed Monday at the level of 9,742.78 points after advancing 1.03% or around 99.13 points.
