QSE main index loses 371.17 points; all sectors down

Doha – Mubasher: Qatar Stock Exchange’s benchmark index closed Sunday in negative territory after shrinking 3.71% or about 371.17 points, reaching the level of 9,643.65 points.

Also, QE Al Rayan Islamic Index plummeted 4.19% to 3,539.77 points, and the All Shares Index slipped 3.55% to 2,575.79 points.

Trading volume closed at about 6.89 million shares exchanged through 4,223 trades, making a trading value of around QAR 261.19 million.

“The index started the session with a slight fall in early trading near the level of 10,000 points, the best trend today, before closing at 9,600 points,” Market expert, Ayoub Eshban, explained to Mubasher.

“Support levels ranged between 9,500 and 9,600 points, and the resistances were 9,700, 9,800 and 10,000 points,” he added.

QSE sectors dropped collectively, led by industrial and transportation sectors with 4.07% and 4.06% respectively.

Out of 41 shares, one share closed with higher rates, while 40 others closed down.

Al Khaleej Takaful Group advanced 0.16% to lead the risers, while Gulf Warehousing was the weakest with a fall of 8.25%.

Masraf Al Rayan made the biggest trading volume and trading value activities with about 1.8 million traded shares and around QAR 62 million respectively.

QSE benchmark index closed Thursday with a 0.04% decrease or around 4.02 points to the level of 10,014.82 points.
