QSE opens 0.13% lower

Doha – Mubasher: The main index of the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) fell at Wednesday’s open by 0.13% or 14.24 points to the level of 10,686.23 points.

Trading volume reached 611,000 shares exchanged at QAR 14.5 million through 293 transactions.

By 10:00am Doha time, the industrial sector declined 0.67% due to a 1.3% fall in Industries Qatar, the worst performing stock.

The banking sector shrank 0.18% as Masraf Al Rayan retreated 0.26%.

On the other hand, the consumer goods and services sector rose 1.01%, backed by an increase of 2% in Woqod, the best performer.

The real estate sector advanced 0.31% as Mazaya Qatar and Ezdan rose 0.81% and 0.78% respectively.

United Development led the trading activity with a volume of 232,100 shares exchanged at QAR 5.11 million.
