QSE opens 0.23% higher

Doha – Mubasher: The main index of the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) rose in Tuesday’s early trading by 0.23% or 26.36 points to the level of 11,287.87 points.

Trading volume amounted to 1.01 million shares exchanged at QAR 57.95 million through 681 transactions, by 10:10 AM Doha time.

The index was backed by the rise in blue chips as Industries Qatar, Masraf Al Rayan and QIB by 0.43%, 1.31% and 0.36% respectively.

The telecom sector was the best performer after adding 0.77%, followed by the insurance, industrial, banking and transportation sectors with a growth of 0.39%, 0.28%, 0.27% and 0.24% respectively.

Meanwhile, the consumer goods and services sector declined by 0.3%. Although, Qatari German Medical led the green list with an increase of 1.5%.
