Doha – Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange’s (QSE) benchmark index declined in Sunday’s early trading by 0.25% or 25.80 points to the level of 10,402.87 points.
By 10:00 Am Doha time, trading volume reached 774,500 shares exchanged through 620 transactions, making a turnover of QAR 34.8 million.
The index was negatively affected by the fall in blue chips as Commercial Bank of Qatar topped losers with a drop of 1.03%, Qatar Islamic Bank retreated 1% and Qatar Insurance decreased 0.9%.
Dlala Holding and Barwa Real Estate also declined by 0.8% and 0.72% respectively.
The insurance sector was the worst performer after shrinking by 0.66%, followed by the banking and consumer goods sectors with a fall of 0.42% and 0.03% respectively.
On the other hand, the real estate sector advanced 0.05% as Mazaya Qatar led the green list with a growth of 1.35%.
The telecom and industrial sectors also leapt by 0.02% and 0.11% respectively.
