QSE opens Sunday higher

Doha – Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) opened Sunday’s trading session in the green zone, in line with the rise of five sectors topped by the real estate.

The general index grew 0.17% or 16.55 points to reach 10,646.91 points by 10:25am Qatar time.

The real estate sector topped risers with a 0.16% increase as Mazaya Qatar Real Estate Development and Ezdan Holding Group grew 0.49% and 0.33% respectively.

On the other hand, the consumer goods and services sector led losers with a 0.43% decline as Medicare Group declined 1.22%.

The market saw trading of 1.1 million shares through 802 transactions, with a turnover of AED 44.4 million million.

Barwa Real Estate, which declined 0.26%, was the most active stock with a trading volume of 147,200 shares. Masraf Al Rayan slid 1.45% and was the value leader after generating QAR 6.4 million.

Ooredoo topped gainers with a 1.14% rise, while Al Khaleej Takaful Group was the worst performer after declining 2.91%.
