Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) started Sunday’s trading session in negative territory, dragged by the drop of four sectors.
By 10:00 am Qatar time, the general index fell 0.52% to 9,194.15 points, shedding 45.29 points.
The bourse's turnover amounted to QAR 24.4 million after 502,100 million shares changed hands through 447 transactions.
The industrial sector topped the QSE’s losers falling 1% as Industries Qatar went down 1.87%.
Similarly, the banking sector dropped 0.39%, pressured by jeavyweight Qatar National Bank’s (QNB) 0.60% decrease.
On the other hand, the real estate sector headed the bourse’s gainers adding 0.89% as Ezdan Holding Group rose 1.70%.
Investment Holding Group’s stock, which retreated 1.26%, led the QSE in terms of trading volume with 124,090 shares, while Qatar Fuel’s stock, which advanced 1.08%, headed the market in terms of liquidity with QAR 11.9 million.
