Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) opened Sunday’s trading session in the red territory.
By 10:08 am Qatari time, the general index fell 0.09% to 10,182 points. The QSE’s trading volume amounted to 2.19 million shares generating QAR 53.84 million in liquidity.
The insurance sector led decliners after sliding 0.96%, followed by the transportation and real estate sectors which retreated 0.79% and 0.54%, respectively.
On the other hand, the banking and telecommunications sectors rose 0.24% and 0.02%, respectively.
Qatar Oman Investment headed fallers with 2.17%, while Qatar International Islamic Bank topped gainers and gained 2.96%.
Mesaieed Petrochemical Holding led the QSE in terms of volume and value after 612,720 shares were traded at a turnover of QAR 10.66 million.
