Doha – Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) saw gains in Thursday’s early trades, backed by the rise of most blue chips.
The main index grew 0.21% or 20.58 points to reach 9,762.29 points by 9:55am Qatar time.
The telecom sector topped gainers with a 1% rise, backed by Ooredoo which added 0.77%. The industrial sector also went up 0.77% as Industries Qatar (IQ) and Gulf International Services (GIS) advanced 2% and 1.6% respectively.
The banks sector increased 0.26% after Qatar Islamic Bank (QIB) and National Leasing Holding Company climbed 1.5% and 0.14% respectively.
On the other hand, the insurance sector fell 0.46% as Qatar Insurance Company (QIC) declined 0.6%.
The market saw trading of 862,000 shares through 582 transactions, with a turnover of QAR 24 million.
