QSE opens Thursday in red zone

Doha – Mubasher: Qatar Stock Exchange's main index initiated Thursday's trading activity on a lower note after falling 22.90 points, or 0.22%, to the mark of 10,380.14 points.

The bourse was pressured by the downturn of blue-chip stocks, including QNB (-1.35%), Qatar Insurance (-0.23%) and Barwa (-0.6%).

By 9:00am Qatar time, five sectors saw a decline, headed by the banking sector (-0.9%) due to the 1.06% fall of Qatar Islamic Bank.  

The consumer goods went down 0.06% as Qatar Fuel was lower 0.41% at open.

Trading volume reached 12430 shares traded in 35 transactions at QAR 555.47 million.
