Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) started Thursday’s trading session on a negative note.
By 09:50 am Qatar time, the general index fell 56.42 points, or 0.53%, to 10,627.52 points.
Turnover amounted to QAR 29.17 million after 1.53 million shares were traded through 633 transactions.
The real estate sector topped the QSE’s losers falling 1.43%, after United Development retreated 2.87%.
United Development’s stock led the bourse in terms of trading volume and value after nearly 968,300 shares were traded, generating QAR 15.8 million in liquidity.
The industrials sector declined 0.97% as Industries Qatar plunged 1.53%.
Meanwhile, the banking sector dropped 0.17%, pressured by Islamic Holding which dipped 2.27%.
On the other hand, the insurance sector inched up 0.09% after Qatar Insurance grew 0.13%.
