QSE opens Thursday on lower note

Doha – Mubasher: Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) initiated Thursday’s session on a lower note as the benchmark fell 18.91 points or 0.19% to 9,995.52 points.

At 10am Qatar time, around 2.57 million shares were traded over 1,162 transactions at a turnover of QAR 77.15 million.  

Sector-wise, the insurance headed the decliners with a loss of 1.99%, followed by banks that started the session down 0.31%. Meanwhile, telecoms led the gainers by adding 0.86%.

Tracking stock movement, Gulf International Services was the worst decliner with a fall of 4.7%, while the most gainer was Qatari German for Medical Devices with a rise of 6.47%.

Yesterday, the main index closed on a stronger note, adding 45.18 points or 0.45% to 10,014.43 points.
