Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) started Tuesday’s trading session in the green, encouraged by the growth of six sectors.
By 9:50 am Qatar time, the general added 10.37 points, or 0.12%, to 9.003.01 points.
The bourse's turnover amounted to QAR 21.7 million after 2.2 million shares changed hands through 430 transactions.
The telecommunications sector topped the QSE’s six gainers adding 2.7% as Vodafone Qatar hiked 9.37%.
The real estate sector rose 1.59% as Ezdan Holding Group went up 2.58%, while the banking sector inched up 0.37% after Qatar National Bank levelled up 0.8%.
Similarly, the industrial sector advanced 0.15%, pushed up by Aamal Company's 1.56% growth.
Meanwhile, the transportation sector was the market’s only decliner losing 0.41% as Qatar Navigation and Qatar Gas Transport decreased 4.41% and 0.81%, respectively.
Vodafone Qatar’s stock led the bourse in terms of trading volume with 1.7 million shares, generating QAR 13.4 million.
