Doha – Mubasher: The main index of the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) rose 1.23% or 109.52 points to reach 9,046.04 points in Tuesday’s early trades.
By 10:06 am Qatar time, most of the sectors grew with the exception of the telecoms sector as it decreased 2.03%.
The transportation sector gained 5.01% after Qatar Gas Transport Company Ltd (Nakilat) and Gulf Warehousing levelled up 10% and 3.78%, respectively.
The consumer goods and services sector went up 2.31% as Qatar Fuel (Woqod) increased 3.42% and Medicare Group rose 2.47%.
The industrials and the banks sectors grew 1.54% and 0.84%, respectively, on the back of Qatar Industrial Manufacturing Company (QIMC) going up 3.61% and Masraf Al Rayan 2.44%.
Trading volume reached 5.28 million shares, through 1,710 transactions, generating QAR 111.38 million.
Gulf International Services’ stock led in terms of traded volume with 1.27 million shares exchanged with a turnover of QAR 26.18 million.
