Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) started Tuesday's trading session in positive territory, encouraged by the growth of three sectrors.
By 9:55 am Qatar time, the general index increased 17.22 points, or 0.19%, to 8,954 points.
The bourse's trading volume reached 370,070 shares exchanged through 205 transactions, with a turnover of QAR 105.85 million.
The real estate sector rose 0.45% as Ezdan Holding Group’s stock grew 1%, while Barwa Real Estate Company’s (BRES) stock went up 0.09%.
The banks and financial services sector levelled up 0.32% after the stocks of Qatar Islamic Bank (QIB) and the heavyweight Qatar National Bank (QNB) increased 1.53% and 0.32%, respectively, whereas Dlala Brokerage Investment Holding’s stock fell 3.50%/
On the other hand, the transportation sector dropped 0.12% as Qatar Gas Transport’s (Nakilat) stock decreased by 0.25%, while the industrial sector shed 0.04% after Mesaieed Petrochemical Holding’s stock dropped 0.66%.
Vodafone Qatar’s stock, which stabilised at QAR 8.81, was the most active after 150,900 shares were exchanged, with a turnover of QAR 1.3 million.
