Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) started Tuesday’s trading session down, pressured by the drop of five sectors.
By 10:00 am Qatar time, the general index fell 26.83 points, or 0.30 %, to 8,956.94 points.
The bourse's turnover amounted to QAR 24.4 million after 1.3 million shares were exchanged through 399 transactions.
The industrial sector topped the QSE’s losers falling 0.28%, dragged by Qatari Investors Group which declined 1.77%.
Similarly, the banking sector went down 0.14% after Qatar Oman Investment dipped 5.47%.
Meanwhile, the insurance sector topped the bourse’s risers adding 1.27% as Qatar General Insurance and Reinsurance and Qatar Insurance went up 5.19% and 0.03%, respectively.
The real estate sector levelled up 0.14% after Ezdan Holding Group increased 0.42%.
Mesaieed’s stock, which advanced 0.98%, led the market in terms of trading volume with 827,200 shares, generating QAR 13.8 million in liquidity.
