QSE opens Tuesday on positive note

Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) opened Tuesday’s trading session in green territory, helped by the growth of five sectors. 

By 9:45 am Qatar time, the benchmark index increased 3.92 points, or 0.04%, to 9,146.20 points.

The bourse's trading volume reached 602,500 shares exchanged at a turnover of QAR 2.8 million through 150 transactions.  

The real estate sector rose 0.23% as Barwa Real Estate’s stock inched up 0.63%, while United Development Company’s stock edged up 0.21%.

The consumer goods and services sector grew 0.04% after Medical Group’s stock levelled up 1.73%.

The banks and financial services sector inched up 0.01% as Qatar First Bank’s (QFB) stock increased 1.70%.

On the other hand, the industrials sector shed 0.15% after Gulf International Services’ (GIS) stock fell 1.76%.
