QSE opens Tuesday on positive note

Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) started Tuesday in the green after its main index increased 29.36 points, or 0.30%, to 9,773.58 points.

By 9:45 am Qatar time, the QSE’s traded volume reached 433,900 shares, through 379 transactions, generating QAR 6.82 million.

The telecoms, real estate, and consumer goods and services sectors went up. The industrials sector also added 0.72% as Industries Qatar’s stock grew 1.79%.

The banks and financial services sector edged up 0.01% after Islamic Holding Group’s stock jumped 5.07%, whereas Qatar Oman Investment’s stock fell 5.98%.

On the flipside, the insurance sector shed 0.81% as Qatar General Insurance and Reinsurance’s stock declined 5.89% and Al Khaleej Takaful Insurance’s stock decreased 2.86%.

Qatar Aluminum Manufacturing’s (QAMCO) stock, up 0.36%, topped the QSE in terms of trading volume via 138,070 exchanged shares, while Mesaieed Petrochemical Holding's stock, up 0.33%, led in terms of liquidity with QAR 2.03 million.
