QSE opens Wednesday in red

Doha – Mubasher: The main index of the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) lost 0.78% or 69.56 points to reach 8,864.81 points in Wednesday’s early trades.

By 10:05 am Qatar time, the sectors fell collectively as the real estate sector decreased 1.85% after Ezdan Holding Group and Mazaya Qatar declined 2.21% and 1.89%, respectively.

The telecoms sector dropped 1.47% as Vodafone Qatar tumbled 3.21% and Ooredoo went down 1.11%.

The banks and the industrials sectors levelled down 0.97% and 0.69%, respectively.

Trading volume reached 1.41 million shares with a liquidity of QAR 31.8 million through 558 transactions.

Qatar First Bank’s (QFB) stock led in terms of traded volume with 419,060 shares exchanged, while Qatar Fuel’s (Woqod) stock was the most active in terms of trading value with a turnover of QAR 5.31 million.
