QSE opens Wednesday in red

Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) started Wednesday’s trading session down, dragged by the drop of four sectors.

By 10:40 am Qatar time, the general index inched down 6.84 points, or 0.08%, to 8,714.91 points.

The bourse's turnover amounted to QAR 66.3 million after 4.5 million shares were exchanged through 1,100 transactions.

The real estate sector topped the QSE’s decliners falling 1.71% as Ezdan Holding Group decreased 2.28%.

On the flipside, the banking sector topped the bourse’s gainers adding 0.09% after Qatar National Bank (QNB) grew 0.44%.

Vodafone Qatar’s stock led the market in terms of trading volume with 2.1 million, generating QAR 19.1 million in a turnover.
