Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) started Wednesday’s trading session in red territory, pressured by the drop of six sectors.
The benchmark index dropped 28.44 points, or 0.28%, to 10,235.63 points.
By 10:00 am Qatar time, the bourse’s trading volume reached 916,200 shares exchanged through 557 transactions at a turnover of QAR 21.9 million.
The insurance sector topped the QSE’s losers falling 1.35% as Qatar Islamic Insurance and Qatar Insurance declined 2.21% and 1.84%, respectively.
Similarly, the industrial sector plunged 0.53% on the back of Industries Qatar’s 1.08% drop.
On the other hand, the banking sector was the bourse’s only gainer adding 0.02% as Masraf Al Rayan grew 0.80%.
Mesaieed Petrochemical’s stock, which advanced 0.64%, led the QSE in terms of trading volume with 297,300 shares, generating QAR 5.2 million in liquidity.
