QSE opens Wednesday marginally higher

Doha – Mubasher: The main index of the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) rose 0.22% or 20.1 points to reach 9,115.55 points in Wednesday’s early trades.

By 10:00 am Qatar time, most of the sectors grew, with the exception of the transportation sector as it shed 0.16%.

The real estate sector increased 1.49% after Mazaya Qatar, Barwa, and Ezdan Holding Group gained 2.19%, 1.25%, and 0.60%, respectively.

The consumer goods and services sector went up 0.87% as Medicare Group levelled up 1.47% and Qatar Fuel (Woqod) rose 1.4%, while the telecoms sector grew 0.56%.

Traded volume reached 1.05 million shares with a liquidity of QAR 31.62 million.

Ezdan’s stock led in terms of trading volume with 203,740 shares exchanged, while Woqod’s stock was the most active in terms of traded value with a turnover of QAR 9.68 million.
