Doha – Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange’s (QSE) main index opened Sunday’s session falling by 0.01% or 1.51 points to the level of 10,410.99 points.
The drop was due to the decrease in some blue chips as Commercial Bank of Qatar, QIB and Barwa Real Estate 0.78%, 0.29% and 0.29% respectively.
Trading volume reached 262,700 shares exchanged at QAR 11.7 million through 278 transactions.
The consumer goods and services sector was the worst performer after shrinking by 0.75%, the transportation sector declined 0.57% and the telecom sector retreated 0.30%.
On the other hand, the industrial and insurance sectors leapt by 0.39% and 0.14% respectively.
