QSE opens lower on blue-chip stocks

Doha – Mubasher: Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) opened Monday’s trading session on a lower note.

The main index fell 28.65 points, or 0.26%, to 11,025.23 points by 9:50am Qatar time.

The benchmark’s performance was weakened by most blue-chip stocks, namely Ezdan Holding (-0.35%), Industries Qatar (-0.26%), and Al Rayan (-0.4%).

Sector-wise, the real estate, banking, transportation, industrial, telecommunications, and insurance sectors saw a slide of 0.48%, 0.22%, 0.16%, and 0.14%, 0.03%, and 0.01%, respectively.

Trading volume reached 441.4 million shares changed hands in 297,000 transactions at QAR 10.64 million.
