Doha – Mubasher: The main index of the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) opened Sunday’s session rising 0.8% or 19 points to the level of 10,699.78 points.
Trading volume reached 425,120 shares exchanged by 10:00 AM Doha time through 465 transactions, making a turnover of QAR 17.75 million.
The index was backed by the growth in blue chips as Ezdan, Industries Qatar and QIB leapt by 0.36%, 0.85% and 1.18% respectively.
The insurance sector was the best performer after adding 0.48%, followed by the industrial, transportation and real estate sectors as they grew by 0.44%, 0.27% and 0.1% respectively.
Meanwhile, the banking sector fell alone by 0.15%.
