Doha – Mubasher: The benchmark index of Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) dropped 2.87% or 324.8 points to close at 10,989.79 points on Wednesday.
The majority of blue chips affected the market negatively, headed by the Commercial Bank of Qatar which lost 5.4%.
The insurance sector was the top decliner by a fall of 3.74%, dragged by Qatar General Insurance which retreated 4.3%.
QSE’ turnover grew 69.7% to QAR 530.8 million, as trading volume increased 41.9% to 10.06 million shares.
